eine Reihe von Scannern der Firma Hewlett-Packard. Die aktuellen Modelle bieten 42 bzw. 48 bit Farbtiefe und eine Auflösung von 2400 dpi. Da solch eine hohe Auflösung jedoch nicht für jeden Zweck erforderlich ist, wurde ein spezieller CCD-Sensor entwickelt, der wahlweise mit 600 dpi oder 2400 dpi arbeitet. Während die niedrige Auflösung Zeit und Speicherplatz spart, ist die hohe immer dann sinnvoll, wenn stark vergrößert werden soll. Durch Interpolation lassen sich auch höhere Auflösungen (ab etwa 9600 dpi) erreichen, bei denen jedoch nur das Bild (und der Speicherplatzbedarf) vergrößert wird, nicht jedoch feinere Informationen im Bild ausgelesen werden.
 
Bei den meisten Geräten dieser Reihe ist im Lieferumfang ein Durchlichtaufsatz zum Scannen von transparenten Vorlagen (Diapositiven) enthalten. Einige verfügen über eine automatische Dokumentenzuführung.
